A class code opens your lessons and assignments. A live-game code opens a teacher’s current lobby.

Saved classes, assignments and account-based live games require a school-approved account. Temporary guest quizzes use a separate private invitation from your teacher, with generated labels, teacher admission and no permanent rewards. A six-digit account-game code is not a guest invitation.

Join a temporary guest quiz

Your teacher may set a class alias after you join. Check it under My classes and ask your teacher if it needs changing. A class alias is not a username or password and does not change how you sign in.

Using a shared device?

Choose “Shared or school device” when signing in. To change an existing session, open Your account and save the device preference. Personal-device mode keeps sign-in cookies for up to 30 days after use; shared mode uses browser-session cookies. Browser session restore can retain either, so neither replaces signing out.

Check whose account is open before joining. Use your teacher-approved display name, not your full name. Sign out when finished and close your tabs. Closing a tab alone does not sign you out; saved browser sessions can remain active.

Do not save your password on a shared device. Signing out of Japanily does not sign you out of Google or Microsoft; follow your school’s device sign-out instructions too.
